thats where i finally died. noticed that they FINALLY stopped chasing me, however, they did not return to their spawn, they just sat there waiting for me to come back out. i finally died here.

Point A is where they started to follow me. they actually started even earlier, but they stopped there. later i went by them again and they resumed to follow me around to point B, where i died. i think thats a little far, dont you?

my response: please try again anet, that totally didnt work.

EDIT: got images working, sorry for all bumps mods ><

I post this because Anet claimed to have fixed the AI with Fridays update.

And you should keep posting and listing them. Only I would keep the posts within the same ones so it makes it easier for Anet to see. Anet has asked us to report the situations just as you have done and they have requested the players use the forums to do so.

Also, the update notes claim "some" mobs were fixed. So they are apparently not done yet. But, I would keep posting them and letting them know.

Ignore the rude posts that will always follow a bug report. That's the state of the community right now. Any complaint valid or not will get you flamed. Ignore them and don't feed the desire to have the thread closed. Simply report the post and keep going.

Strange how they changed the AI and all mobs started following forever, but they "correct" the problem and it only affects a few mobs.

I'm adjusting to it. It does make things a bit more challenging.

The ongoing theory on this is that ANet was trying to make the AI more PvP like in play style. So it was made to run first, hit a couple of times then run some more. Sort of like watching a PvP match. No one really stands toe to toe in a battle of arms and strength, it's game of tag and "spike".

The AI, in an attempt to simulate this doens't and can't understand when it should stop running. And since casters are of course set to run and thus avoid getting hit more often, they were the ones that ran and chased forever.

The biggest failure in this is assuming that PvEers would suddenly say "Ohh this is fun" and gradually begin to enjoy PvP. The second failure is in how it works, or in the majority of even simplest play... doesn't work.

"Hurry everyone run to mitigate damage!" LINK

Of course, as I said this is the theory; but from seeing what we can in game, it seems to fit very well.
